We took a bit of a break here (to, perhaps, understate the point a touch), but our fanatical Nibelungentreue towards this story was destined to compel us back to Word and Photoshop eventually. Next, something which requires a bit of explanation. Many years ago, an observant commenter noted that the collected Volume 2 contains a slightly different version of Chapter 9 to the original magazine version -- this latter was what we acmedan used as the basis for our their scanlation. We now present this revised version of Chapter 9, along with the original. The changes are relatively small, and it's difficult to immediately understand the rationale behind them, but Yuuji's injury in these new pages finds a strange parallel in Chapter 19, so we thought this was the appropriate moment to get the revised Chapter 9 into circulation. And so we arrive gently at the end of Volume 3. This here release takes in the usual extras: the cover, a short omake chapter and some miscellaneous bits and pieces. Not too much else to say so you may proceed directly to the download links:

We'd however be obliged if we could detain you a moment while we deliver the usual stern lecture befitting these occasions. This volume, like the other OnBlue Stay Gold releases, is a tremendously handsome item -- the jacket is shiny in a way the scanning process can't pick up, and the cover is printed on fairly thick card so the book as a whole has a pleasingly solid feeling. We've handled a decent quantity of tankobons in our time (not always to rip them apart for scans!) and we wouldn't hesitate to adjudge these some of the very nicest we've encountered. So if you're ever motivated to toss a few coins in the direction of the author's outstretched cap, you would be doing her an honourable turn and acquiring something worth possessing. These exhortations to support the mangakas become inane through repetition, we appreciate, but we do them a disservice not to put the point to you.

Six months! Good grief. Hope you've all had a pleasant uh, early-mid-late 2019 so far. We certainly have -- a fact which is probably completely coincidental to this one having not appeared too expeditiously. But appeared now it has -- 44 (sic) pages, all rich with incident, which take us elegantly to the conclusion of Volume III. Will our heroes work through all their outstanding issues in good order before the book ends? You'll find the answers immediately below:

In this episode the story takes two rather dramatic turns in succession: a long-absent character makes an unexpected appearance, and things end on quite the cliffhanger. So please enjoy:
